Community Notice
The Town of Leeds has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with a potential buyer for the town’s fiber optic internet network. This step begins a formal due diligence process and does not mean a sale has been completed. No ownership transfer has occurred, and there are no changes to service, operations, pricing, or network plans at this time.
This potential transaction reflects the community support shown by Leeds residents, who voted overwhelmingly in favor of selling the town’s fiber network. Town leadership strongly supports the opportunity this sale represents to continue providing service for the community under new ownership.
If the transaction proceeds, Leeds residents can expect first-class service from a local provider, with the new network owner managing operations going forward.

Construction is well underway. Some hava active services now. The entire network will be completed no later than March 2024. Subscribers will be activated as construction passes the premises and services are installed. Make sure to subscribe before February 29th to ensure your service is installed and activated as construction occurs on your street.

Axiom is a contractor hired by the Town of Leeds. Axiom is a Maine based internet operator who will manage the day-to-day operational tasks of providing services and making network repairs. Axiom will also administer the network, provide customer service, and provide technical staff. Per the Operational Agreement between the Town of Leeds and Axiom, the network must be operated in accordance with strict service level standards. The Town of Leeds will review Axiom’s performance annually, with the option to retain an alternative operator if the service is not performing adequately.

All calls are answered locally by folks right here in Maine.
